My bestfriend from Iloilo was in Talisay City (Negros Occidental) for a work-related seminar and on her last day, we gave her a little tour of the place. Well, when you're in Talisay, you've got to see the Ruins.

The mini-mansion was a husband's tribute for his lovely wife. A gift that would hopefully signify his love. During the Japanese occupation, the Americans burned the house so the former won't use it as a headquarters. They said that it took 3 full days to burn most of the house. Now, even that the Ruins is but a skeletal feature of what it has been, one could still see how it was beautifully made. 

It was a little funny reading the guest book (left). Some came from far-away places like, Manila and made a comment about wanting to see more of the place. Honestly, I came all the way from Manila just to see the Ruins, I would most probably say the same thing. When you get there, you have high expectations like seeing antique stuff that once occupied the house but there's really nothing much to see there. Just the remains of it and the lavish garden - that they have renovated and redecorated since we last came here.

Finally done renovating my home in Sim Social!!! I've been so inspired look at photos from different Sim Social-related sites that I opted to have a theme for my house. I don't like having messy rooms with hodge podge of things in it. Thankfully the Japan-week came in just the right timing!!! A lot of the stuff really fitted well in my home. :D I'm a happy kid!

I will start my room-by-room tour of my Sim's house from the gate. I unlocked the lot just for this! Sorry for the giantic bling. I ran out of enegy :|

My bathroom! I originally had it in a brown/wood theme but since I wanted to level up my house value (brown items are very cheap) I chose to go all-blue! It was also a plus that I found a blue wooden floor from the Halloween week. The mirror was from the hidden lab week (still part of the halloween)

The Kitchen!!! I installed a huge (and very expensive) window for a peak of the pond from the outside.

There was a bug on the ktichen cabinet. It just looks like that except when I place it on the center :| Anyway, I might change the counters with the ones in dark brown... hhhmmmm.

This is my make-shift pond. Still looks ridiculous, I know. I had a hard time with the placement of the rocks.

I had to do the magic carpet trick to have them placed side by side. hahaha! I first thought of just putting the fountain as a garden center piece with rocks lining the path walk. It didn't look good as I've imagined it to be so I just turned it into a pond. :)) I've seen a lot of players doing this trick so I thought of doing it myself.

What was left of the garden :)) There seems to be a bug with the table though.. because I couldn't place anything on top of it. Will try it again soon.

My pool!! I unlocked this lot because I wanted to get the fountain that's now standing on my front yard. Good thing I found a way to make the lot useful. 

And last but not the least, my Japanese nook! I wanted to make a bigger one but I had to make space for the trees and the pond. I found a good use for those hideous violet bushes from the Halloween week! Now they look as pretty as if they were green :D

A friend from Manila went home to Bacolod last night so we arranged to dine with her and I suggested to go to a Korean Restaurant! My other friend, Metz, whom I dub as a pseudo-Korean (because of her K bf) was very thoughtful enough to be our eonnie/older sister and taught us how to eat this and that. She was making hungit (what's the Tagalog/term for that???) food to us, even to CJ :)) It was so fun! I was so full but I kept on eating! It wasn't that spicy after all! Was I a Korean on my past life?

We had three side dishes for the Sangyupsal. One the first photo is the Balatong/Long beans, on the photo above is Radish Kimchi, and the one below is Kimchi

Above are photos of Teokpokki. It's like a wet noodle dish (not really a soup, I think) Spicy but with a hint of sweetness! the ones that look like cylinder tubes (how else would I describe it? meh) are actually rice pastries, somehow the same as the Palitao (?) as CJ said. Whatever, it was delicious! It was like the one that pacified all the spiciness of what we had.

and of course, Mango Soju!!!
